Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of ZappyBee VideoAgent (the “Service”), a desktop video editor operated by ZappyBee (“ZappyBee”, “we”, “us”). By downloading, installing, creating an account, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

01The Service

ZappyBee VideoAgent is a desktop application that lets you edit video by instructing an AI agent in natural language. Editing, rendering and media processing run locally on your device. To plan edits, the agent sends your text instructions and a compact description of your project (see the Privacy Policy) to our managed AI service. Your source video and audio files are not uploaded.

02Accounts

• You sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure.
• You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to create an account.
• One free credit grant is provided per user. Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free credits, or otherwise abusing the Service, is prohibited.

03Credits, Plans & Billing

• Credits are the unit of usage. They are token-based: each request consumes credits in proportion to the AI work it performs.
• Free: 100 credits, granted once. Pro: US$19/month for 2,000 credits/month. Studio: US$49/month for 6,000 credits/month.
• Plan credits reset each billing period and do not roll over. Credits have no cash value and are not redeemable for money.
• Paid subscriptions are processed by Polar, our Merchant of Record, who handles payment and applicable taxes (e.g. VAT). Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
• You can cancel anytime from inside the app; cancellation stops future renewals. Except where required by law, payments and consumed credits are non-refundable.

04Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to create or process content that is illegal, infringing, or that violates the rights of others;
• Circumvent or interfere with credit metering, rate limits, authentication, or other technical safeguards;
• Resell, sublicense, or provide the managed AI service to third parties as a standalone offering;
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the credentials or prompts of our managed backend.

05Your content

You retain all rights to the media you edit and the videos you produce. We do not claim ownership of your content. You are responsible for having the rights to the footage, audio, and other material you use. Because processing is local, your media files remain on your device.

06AI output

The agent is automated and can make mistakes, misinterpret instructions, or produce unexpected results. You are responsible for reviewing edits before relying on or publishing them. The Service performs non-destructive editing and does not delete your original files.

07Third-party & open-source components

The Service relies on third-party providers including Google (sign-in), Supabase (authentication and database), Anthropic (AI processing), and Polar (payments). Your use of those features is also subject to their terms. ZappyBee VideoAgent is built on the open-source OpenReel editor (MIT License) and includes other open-source components under their respective licenses.

08Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will meet your requirements.

09Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZappyBee will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or footage, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

10Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or abuse the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. content ownership, disclaimers, liability) will survive.

11Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, by notice in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ZappyBee is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Questions about these Terms: hello@zappybee.dev.
